Welcome to my first blog, its all about the Tourism of Sikkim 

1. Location of Sikkim

    Sikkim is a state in northeast india.

     It has borders with Bhutan , Tibet and  

     Nepal.

2. Why is tourism important to sikkim?

   Tourism is one of the important services 

    which provides industries and   

    employment in Sikkim.

    Its rapid growth has contributed in the 

    socio-economic development of this 

     region. The increase of tourists has 

     resulted in the economic benefits by 

     providing income and employment to 

     the local community people. 

3.  What is famous in Sikkim?

    Sikkim is famous for dazzling waterfalls,

    virgin forests, Tibetan style Buddhist 

    Gompas, alpine meadows, 

    rhododendron flowers and more.

    It is suggested that the best time to visit

    Sikkim is the spring season, from 

    March to May to witness the blooming

    nature beauty in Gangtok.                   Now we will visit some of the famous places of Sikkim 😊😉

a) Tsomgo Lake 

The Tsomgo Lake, also popular as the 

Changu Lake, is a water body made of a 

glacier making it one of the best places to visit in Gangtok. Located at the altitude of 12310 feet , the Tsomgo Lake is one of Sikkim's prime tourist attractions. The lake is located 38 km from Gangtok.

This lake is surrounded from mountains from all sides. It is covered with snow from early winter to mid may . It is surrounded with flowers . Visitors can spot various species of birds around this lake. There are number of stalls of tea,

food etc. We can also take rides on 

Colourfully decorated yaks and mules around this lake.
